Pharmacy Technician (000332) 26-03088 East Elmhurst, NEW YORK Pharmacy Technician (000332) Basic Job Information Ref No.: 26-03088 Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: East Elmhurst, NY 11370 Assignment Length: 8 Weeks Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications, as well as the maintenance of drug inventory. This role requires strict adherence to all Federal, State, and local regulations governing pharmacy and institutional practice. The technician may rotate across satellite areas, tours, and shifts based on departmental needs. Key Responsibilities: Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution Maintain and manage medication and supply inventory Rotate assignments, tours, and work areas as required Accurately perform tasks with strong attention to detail within defined timeframes Receive, return, and deliver medications, carts, and supplies to designated hospital units Operate pharmacy equipment safely and efficiently Troubleshoot automated dispensing systems when necessary Required Skills & Experience: Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacy Technician experience Preferred Skills & Experience: Pharmacy dispensing experience Sterile processing experience IV room experience Education Requirements: Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: N/A Certifications & Licensure: Must hold an active Registered Pharmacy Technician license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Primary Source Verification of license and registration required
