Monte Vista Animal Hospital — an AAHA-accredited, locally owned, founder-led veterinary practice in Reno, Nevada — is seeking a Practice Operations Coordinator / Practice Administrator to oversee daily operations and people management. This role is designed for someone who values consistency, accountability, and teamwork . You will help uphold the Owner’s established standards, culture, and vision while ensuring the practice operates efficiently day to day. This is not a role for reinventing the practice — it’s a role for strengthening and maintaining what already works. Why You’ll Love Monte Vista A respected, AAHA-accredited practice with strong community roots Clear leadership structure and defined expectations A collaborative, respectful, and drama-free team environment Founder involvement that provides guidance, clarity, and support A stable practice focused on quality patient care and long-term success What You’ll Do As the Practice Operations Coordinator / Practice Administrator, you will: Oversee daily operations across clinical and front-office teams Manage staff performance, accountability, and professional development Conduct performance reviews and support corrective or disciplinary processes as needed Ensure consistent application of policies, protocols, and operational standards Oversee scheduling frameworks and staffing coverage Manage vendor relationships and operational expenses within defined budget guardrails Ensure HR compliance and accurate documentation Serve as the primary escalation point for staff concerns and interdepartmental issues Reporting Structure & Authority Reports directly to the Owner / Medical Director Holds full authority over daily operations and people management Makes decisions within owner-defined policies and budget parameters Brings strategic or structural changes to ownership for review and approval What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings: Experience in veterinary, healthcare, or service-based operations leadership Comfort working in partnership with a strong, detail-oriented founder A calm, emotionally intelligent, and consistent leadership style The ability to hold teams accountable without micromanaging Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills You’ll thrive here if you enjoy providing structure, supporting teams, and keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
