Payroll Supervisor

Requirements: · Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. · 4–6 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. · Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including California labor laws. · Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry strongly preferred. · Proficiency with major payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or Paycom). · Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination. · Ability to manage high-volume, multi-state payrolls and meet strict deadlines. · Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential preferred. Day to Day Responsibilities: The Payroll Supervisor oversees the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role works closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and maintain employee satisfaction. · Supervise daily payroll operations and staff performance. · Review and approve bi-weekly payroll runs for accuracy and compliance. · Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper general ledger postings. · Coordinate with HR on employee changes, benefits, and timekeeping issues. · Audit timecards, deductions, and expense reimbursements for accuracy. · Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, union contracts, and company policy. · Prepare payroll reports and support internal/external audits. · Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
