Bonus: Annual Bonus of $5000 Visa Support: Not available Overview An advanced diagnostic laboratory in DeLand, Florida, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor II to oversee operations within its Auto Chemistry department. This is a full-time evening shift role scheduled Tuesday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM , with one working Saturday every 12 weeks. This supervisor will guide a team of lab professionals, ensure workflow efficiency, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Departmental Oversight : Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring proper workflow from sample processing to reporting. Leadership & Training : Support staff training, competency evaluations, and team development plans. Compliance & Quality Assurance : Uphold internal policies and regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, state-specific). Operational Efficiency : Monitor workload, resolve issues, and provide bench coverage when needed. Performance Management : Conduct evaluations, monitor KPIs, and support continuous improvement. Staffing : Create staffing plans, manage scheduling, and handle employment-related actions with approvals. Qualifications - Must-Haves 6-8 years of experience as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology , Biological Sciences , or a related field Valid Florida Supervisor License in Chemistry Certification from a recognized agency (e.g., ASCP , AMT ) Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience Previous experience in a high-volume reference laboratory
