Project Manager (engineering consultancy services for infrastructure and building projects)

The Project Manager will lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering consultancy services for infrastructure and building projects. The role involves overseeing design updates, technical studies, coordination with authorities, BIM integration, and ensuring project delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related Engineering discipline Masters Degree in Project Management or Engineering (preferred) Experience Minimum 12–15 years total professional experience Minimum 7 years in Project Management role Proven experience in: Large-scale infrastructure and building projects Roads & earthworks Wet utilities & mechanical systems Electrical building services Architectural & structural works ICT works Experience in GCC (Qatar experience preferred) Experience in managing projects ranging from QAR 5M to 400M Technical Competencies Strong understanding of: Design management & technical reviews Studies, surveys & design modifications BIM coordination (LOD, clash review, coordination workflows) CAD deliverables & documentation standards Authority submissions & statutory coordination Familiarity with: FIDIC or similar consultancy contracts Quality control procedures Risk management and mitigation planning Ability to review and validate: Technical reports Engineering calculations Shop drawings Load demand estimates Schematics and design updates Professional Certifications (Preferred) PMP (Project Management Professional) MMUP/UPDA Grade A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent (advantage) ISO 9001 Quality Management awareness Key Responsibilities Lead multidisciplinary engineering consultancy team Act as primary interface with Client (e.g., Authority/Development Team) Manage call-off orders and resource deployment Oversee technical studies, surveys, and design modifications Ensure compliance with project scope and contractual obligations Monitor progress, budgets, and deliverables Coordinate BIM deliverables and interdisciplinary integration Manage authority coordination and approvals Review and approve consultant deliverables prior to submission Prepare and present status reports to Client Manage risk registers and mitigation plans Ensure adherence to QHSE and quality management systems Support variation management and change requests Soft Skills Strong leadership and decision-making ability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects High level of organization and documentation control Strong problem-solving and analytical capability Other Requirements Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage) Strong proficiency in MS Office, MS Project / Primavera Experience in BIM environments (Revit/Navisworks preferred) Valid Qatari driving license (preferred)
