About the Client Our client is a well-established international payments and acquiring provider serving merchants across Europe and global markets. The platform covers payment acquiring, issuer processing, BIN sponsorship, white-label card programs, fraud prevention, and advanced data tools, allowing partners to build compliant and flexible payment ecosystems. With a strong technological foundation and years of market presence, the company supports fintechs, PSPs, and digital merchants that require reliability, regulatory alignment, and room to grow. Role Overview As a Country Manager you will lead and scale the acquiring business under the Cyprus principal membership. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who not only brings a strong merchant network but can also define go-to-market strategy, drive revenue growth, and represent the company in the local and regional ecosystem. Responsibilities Build and develop a pipeline of merchants for card acquiring, primarily within low- and mid-risk segments (e-commerce, digital business, retail), while also being open to well-licensed high-risk opportunities. Leverage your existing network of merchants, introducers, and decision-makers to generate new business. Identify merchant needs and clearly present the company’s acquiring capabilities, competitive advantages, and regulatory coverage. Lead negotiations on pricing, processing terms, and onboarding conditions Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure merchants can be smoothly approved and launched Represent the company at industry events and conferences to expand partnerships and visibility Maintain accurate sales reporting and pipeline visibility Requirements 3+ years of B2B sales experience in payments / acquiring Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring, transaction flows, chargebacks, and underwriting expectations An existing portfolio of merchant contacts is essential — candidates without an active network will not be considered Ability to understand which merchants fit the product and focus communication on the platform’s strengths Experience working with European-licensed structures and cross-border merchants is a strong plus Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of revenue generation What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus Very attractive commission structure directly linked to the merchants’ processing volumes Fully remote work environment Supportive, experienced team and strong growth culture
