About the Opportunity Our client is a well-funded fintech building next-generation financial infrastructure for emerging markets. In partnership with major global distribution partners, they are launching a consumer finance platform that combines virtual banking and cryptocurrency wallet capabilities — enabling seamless money movement across borders. The team is senior-only, execution-focused, and led by proven founders with successful exits. This role sits at the core of the companys technical strategy and product architecture. The Role As Fintech Engineering Lead , you will partner directly with technical founders to: Architect and build secure, high-performance financial systems Establish engineering standards and backend best practices Lead development of payments, ledgering, and wallet integrations Ensure reliability, scalability, and security for real-money transactions at international scale Drive infrastructure decisions across AWS-based systems Contribute hands-on while shaping long-term architecture Technology Environment Python (FastAPI) PostgreSQL Redis AWS REST APIs powering iOS, Android, and Web Open to Go and/or Rust for performance-critical services Requirements 5+ years building and shipping fintech software Deep expertise in at least one of: Ledger systems Payments processing Stablecoin infrastructure Risk / fraud systems Strong backend engineering experience (Postgres, Redis, AWS) Experience building B2C financial applications Ability to operate in a high-ownership, senior-level environment Full-stack capabilities are a strong plus Whats in It for You $300K–$390K cash compensation (no equity risk required) Visa sponsorship available Relocation support provided Direct influence on technical vision and architecture Day 1 impact on products used by millions globally Small, senior team with no bureaucracy Ground-floor exposure to the expanding stablecoin ecosystem Work alongside founders with proven exits This is a build-from-scratch opportunity — not a maintenance role.
