Mid-Level Accountant Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Apply here: https://operationsarmy.com/application About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Accountant with bookkeeping experience to manage accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support day-to-day financial processes. This role combines transaction management, reconciliations, reporting, and problem-solving while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Transaction Management & Bookkeeping Review, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions Handle complex or unusual transactions requiring manual review (~20% of volume) Ensure accurate coding and compliance with accounting standards Maintain accurate books for assigned portfolios Reconcile monthly books and general ledger accounts Support month-end and year-end close processes 2. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement Support budgeting and forecasting processes Flag and escalate any accounting issues or anomalies 3. Customer & Internal Communication Respond to internal or external accounting-related inquiries Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transaction or reporting questions Provide guidance and support to junior accounting or bookkeeping staff, if applicable 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance Review work for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies Maintain organized records and proper documentation for audits Qualifications Prior mid-level accounting experience (typically 2–5 years) Bookkeeping experience is required High English fluency, both written and verbal Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close Familiarity with accounting software and SaaS platforms Customer service or client-facing experience is a plus Experience with Big 4 accounting firms (KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC) is a plus Tools & Software QuickBooks or other accounting/financial software Familiarity with financial reporting tools and SaaS platforms Experience with support/ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk) is a plus Apply here: https://operationsarmy.com/application
