Head of Tax

A leading corporate provider in Malta are looking for someone to lead the Tax Advisory Department. As a Head of Tax you will be responsible to build and grow the department, managing client relationships and promote the company as a market leader in tax advisory solutions. This is an office based role that offers a salary of up to €80K depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Responsible for the expansion of the Tax Advisory department Build and lead a team of tax professionals Create technical tax knowledge and comply with local and international tax regulations, including ATAD, DAC, CRS, FATCA, Transfer Pricing, Pillar 2 and others Provide exceptional service for a diverse portfolio with matters related to tax Research complex tax issues and provide commercially sound recommendations Attending conferences, seminars and meetings Attract new business opportunities Liaise with the internal departments, partners, and stakeholders Prepare presentations for potential clients Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and potential opportunities to support business development and innovation Education, Skills & Experience Warranted Accountant 5+ years of experience in taxation in Malta - non-negotiable Fully qualified in Tax or willing to obtain such qualifications is a plus Excellent communication skills in English at a C2/Native level both written and spoken Proven experience in building and leading a team Able to identify opportunities and drive growth Experience in negotiations Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel.
