Network Engineer Location: Gulberg 3, Lahore Employment Type: Full-Time - Onsite Experience Required: Minimum 1+ Year (Fortinet Firewall Hands-on Experience Mandatory) Candidate Preference: Lahore-Based Candidates Compensation: 100k -150k (Negotiable) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructures, with hands-on experience in Cisco devices and Fortinet firewalls. Knowledge of Windows Server administration will be considered an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (specifically FortiGate 100F). Implement and manage firewall policies, NAT, VPN (Site-to-Site & Remote Access), and security profiles. Monitor and optimize network security, performance, and availability Configure and manage Cisco managed switches (VLANs, trunking, STP, port security). Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco Access Points (APs) and wireless networks. Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity, coverage, and performance issues. Deploy and troubleshoot Captive Portal solutions for guest and internal networks. Manage network segmentation, routing, and switching configurations. Monitor network traffic and respond to security or performance incidents. Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and regular network maintenance. Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues and coordinate with ISPs when required. Maintain documentation of network topology, configurations, and changes. Requirements Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices Practical expertise in Fortinet firewall configuration and security policies Good understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VPNs, and monitoring tools Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues and coordinate with ISPs when required. Familiarity with Windows Server administration (plus point) Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE (preferred) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Good communication and documentation skills Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
