Senior Survey Manager – PLS | Civil Engineering & DOT Projects

Lead multiple field crews, oversee DOT and municipal projects, ensure timely delivery within budget, and grow client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of multiple field crews and office technicians. Oversee QA/QC, budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Conduct roadway and utility corridor surveys in coordination with VDOT and local municipalities. Support regional business growth through proposals and client development. Mentor and coach staff through performance planning and one-on-one sessions. Required Qualifications: Active PLS license (Professional Land Surveyor). 12+ years of land surveying experience, including 5+ years supervising multiple crews. Extensive experience with DOT and municipal civil projects . Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D . Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Skills: Subsurface utility locating/designating experience. Experience with LiDAR , aerial mapping, or sUAS operations. Bachelor's degree in surveying or civil technology. Compensation & Benefits: Salary $85,000 – $145,000, based on experience and licensure. Sign-on bonus $5,000 – $10,000 (relocation eligible).
