Senior Project Manager – Asset Management

About the role We are looking for a highly motivated Asset Management Project Manager to join a long-term consulting assignment within rail-based transport. In this role, you will lead the implementation of a modern, systematic, and data-driven asset management framework, ensuring long-term value creation, quality, and traceability across critical technical assets. You will play a key role in establishing structured processes, lifecycle models, and governance aligned with ISO 55000-inspired methodology, while driving collaboration across technical and operational teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead the full project for implementing asset management processes and methodology aligned with organizational goals • Develop and implement routines, working methods, and data models related to lifecycle management • Ensure structured breakdown methodologies (symptom–root cause–action) and related governance processes • Drive quality, traceability, and data-driven decision-making across assets (vehicles, equipment, components) • Collaborate closely with stakeholders through workshops, training sessions, and requirement-setting activities • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across multiple business areas • Monitor project timeline, risks, resources, and deliverables • Prepare strategic decision material (e.g., system upgrades vs. new system implementation) • Drive change management initiatives within a complex technical organization Required qualifications and experience • Minimum 10 years of professional experience within technical environments • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies • Strong knowledge of Asset Management frameworks and standards such as ISO 55000 • Good understanding of maintenance data, system support tools (e.g., Maximo/MAS), and technical workflows • Experience working in regulated infrastructure environments (rail, transport, energy, or similar is highly valued) • Strong structured and methodical way of working • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English • Proven ability to drive change and manage parallel initiatives Preferred Skills • Experience with lifecycle management frameworks and asset data models • Background in maintenance systems or enterprise asset management platforms • Experience in data quality improvement projects or system implementations • Experience in change management within large organizations • Familiarity with asset governance, prioritization models, or long-term management planning What we offer • Long-term strategic assignment • Opportunity to lead a high-impact asset management transformation • Work within critical infrastructure and technically advanced environments • Collaborative and professional project setting • Competitive consulting engagement If you are an experienced Asset Management leader who thrives in complex technical environments and enjoys building structured, sustainable solutions, we encourage you to apply or reach out for more information.
