This role requires a professional who can build quick rapport with "hard-to-reach" young people, acting as a bridge between the student, their family, and the teaching staff. The Snapshot Location: Scarborough (Accessible from Filey, Whitby, and Bridlington) Salary: North Yorkshire County Council Grade (Competitive) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Focus: Reducing exclusions and improving student engagement. Detailed Responsibilities Boundary Setting: Clearly communicating school expectations to students and holding them accountable in a supportive, non-confrontational manner. Extracurricular Engagement: Leading lunchtime or after-school clubs (sports, music, or gardening) to build relationships in an informal setting. Family Support: Conducting home visits or phone calls to parents to discuss positive progress as well as behavioral concerns. Crisis Management: Being part of the "On-Call" team to respond to classroom disruptions and remove barriers to learning for the rest of the class.
