Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Role & Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced production environment, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights, 7–7). Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader and Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability and performance within a chilled food manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis to minimise downtime Work across mechanical (70%) and electrical (30%) systems Maintain and repair machinery including Multi Vac, metal detectors, weighers, sealers and conveyors Support continuous improvement initiatives Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food industry standards Proactively identify and implement engineering improvements The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Completed an Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship Experience within food manufacturing (FMCG backgrounds also considered) Strong multi-skilled capability, with the ability to confidently handle electrical fault finding Experience working on packaging and processing machinery Logical thinking skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach Ability to work effectively within a team environment Desirable Skills: Strong experience working with Multivac machinery Experience within chilled production environments Knowledge of metal detection, weighing and sealing systems Continuous improvement mindset Benefits Include: Competitive Salary (depending on Multivac experience) 20 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year up to 25 days Pension contribution Life assurance Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Retail discounts and subscription offers Refer a friend scheme Social fund Unlimited refreshments If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please get in touch with us or apply below.
