Year 3 Teacher – Watford

Inspire Pupils at the Start of Key Stage 2 We are seeking a passionate, organised, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Watford , starting as soon as possible . The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across all subjects. You will join a collaborative Key Stage 2 team where shared planning, reflective practice, and professional development are encouraged. The Role As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons that challenge pupils while supporting all abilities. You will use assessment to monitor pupil progress, identify learning gaps, and inform future planning. Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development is a key part of the role, helping them build resilience, confidence, and independence. You will work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and phase leaders to maintain continuity and high standards across Key Stage 2. Communication with parents and carers will also be essential, keeping them informed about pupils’ progress and achievements. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Monitor and track pupil progress using assessment to inform planning Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives The Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Be confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Be committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding Have a positive, professional approach to teamwork Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will be supported with mentoring.
