Senior Client Accountant

Our client, a local well-established Corporate Service Provider in Malta is looking for a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team. Acting mentor and team manager will form part of your function, which is also highly collaborative as you need to liaise with other departments, and build rapport with and manage your own clients. This role is offered on a hybrid/remote basis with flexible working hours , a starting salary of up to €50K + discretional performance bonus & an extensive benefits package. Role & Responsibilities Manage & mentor a team Supervise and review work prepared by junior team members Establish and develop rapport with Clients, managing their accounts across various sectors Attend client meetings related to your portfolio and provide support to junior colleagues during their meetings Analyse and interpret financial statements Oversee the preparation of management accounts Manage annual audits, ensure accurate submission of VAT returns Ensure all assignments are delivered in line with relevant regulatory frameworks Assist management in organising training sessions and writing articles Education, Skills & Experience Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA or ACCA) 2+ years of experience in a corporate, client-facing role with a Malta-based company Experience of handling Maltese VAT-returns and other local financial and regulatory reporting Experience of handling also foreign financial reporting could be seen as meriting Previous experience of managing and mentoring team members Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken Proficient in MS Office and SAGE accounting system, or similar Strong analytical skills with a tendency to find ways to work smart with the implementation of automated processes Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively Proactive and well-organised with strong time management skills About the Role Starting-salary of up to €50K Discretional annual performance bonus Hybrid/remote with flexible working hours Company Parking Garage Health insurance & wellness allowance Study support, both with time and financial Please apply with your detailed CV in English. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
