Senior Python Developer - Investment Bank Fintech Platform

Our client is the pioneering industry-supported, open messaging network for private banking and wealth management firms to connect with issuers of structured products, with some of the largest financial institutions globally as their clients Responsibilities Design and develop software in accordance with company standards and protocols. Collaborate closely with the product team to create and implement new features and services. Operate within a DevOps environment utilizing agile development methodologies. Ensure that delivered items satisfy acceptance criteria. Take responsibility for Python components, including lifecycle event management, booking modules, and analytics reports. Acquire knowledge about the platforms functionality (the role encompasses more than just development/technical tasks). Academics and Experience A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Python developer. Proven experience in designing and building enterprise applications. Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science. Key Skills Expertise in Python, including core libraries and tools (such as Django or FastAPI, Dash, etc.). Solid understanding of IT culture, including microservices, Kubernetes, and HTTP connectivity. Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities and drive initiatives. Some knowledge of AI principles, including machine learning and large language models (LLMs). A strong desire to learn about financial products. Proficiency in designing data structures, both relational and JSON. Capability to comprehend application functionality. In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including agile methodologies and testing frameworks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail. Familiarity with financial markets, particularly derivatives products and transaction flows, is advantageous (candidates without financial experience will also be considered).
