Infrastructure Developer (Ansible), EU based

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Developer to design and build automation frameworks for large-scale, resilient, and self-healing server environments.This is a highly hands-on role focused on Ansible-based automation, RHEL systems engineering, and infrastructure resilience at scale . You will be responsible not only for using automation tools, but for designing the underlying logic that ensures system stability, consistency, and recoverability. Details Start: ASAP B2B contract until: 31.05.2026 ( Extension possible) Allocation: Full-time Location: EU-based candidates only Responsibilities: Resilience & Self-Healing Automation Design and develop complex Ansible, Python, and Shell-based automation logic to automatically rebuild servers into a healthy state after OS or system failures. Build Health-as-Code solutions to collect deep system telemetry and detect configuration drift or performance degradation across large server fleets. Implement robust state-checking and error-handling mechanisms to ensure automated changes never compromise system availability. Hardware & OS Orchestration Develop integrations with hardware management interfaces ( Redfish API, IPMI ) to automate BIOS configuration, RAID setup, and firmware lifecycle management. Build Day-1 provisioning automation to transform a base RHEL OS into a fully production-ready node using optimized Ansible and Shell workflows. Ensure seamless integration between physical hardware components (NICs, HBAs, disks) and the RHEL kernel through automated driver and parameter tuning. Automation Code Architecture Architect modular, reusable Ansible roles and supporting Python libraries designed to scale efficiently across hundreds or thousands of nodes. Use Shell (Bash) for low-level, high-performance system tasks where abstraction layers may introduce latency. Maintain automation code using Git-based workflows , ensuring peer review, testing, and controlled deployment. Requirements: Advanced hands-on experience with Ansible and Python , including custom module development and API integrations. Strong Linux systems engineering background , with deep expertise in RHEL (systemd, LVM, OS diagnostics and monitoring). Proven experience integrating with enterprise hardware management APIs (e.g. Dell, HP) via Redfish or vendor-specific interfaces . Excellent Shell scripting skills for low-level OS interactions and data processing. Experience designing resilient, check-before-act automation logic in high-availability environments. Hands-on experience operating environments with 500+ nodes , where manual intervention is not an option.
