Remittance Processor

Summary: This position will sort, open, extract, and prepare transactions according to client business rules. This is a Level 1 position with the expectation of working on-site in the office. Days/Hours: Monday through Friday from 1:00PM to 9:30pm Pay : From $15.00 to $18.00 per hour (DOE) Primary Position Duties: Open mail and extract paper invoices/payments Sort and batch transactions Scan, index, image capture, key and reconcile payments/invoices Analyze all transactions to ensure payments are properly processed Enter remittance processing data using a 10-key pad Balance multiple transactions for processing Follow established security procedures for the company and department Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum: Minimum one year of data entry, proven proficiency with 10-key Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced deadline driven production environment Extremely detail-oriented and organized Energetic and strong willingness to learn Regular and Reliable attendance Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written A sense of teamwork while working independently Preferred Qualifications:: Familiarity with Opex equipment preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word Experience in item processing or banking General knowledge and familiarity of Remittance Processing and Document Scanning & Imaging Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand as needed Ability to lift or carry client trays up to 30 pounds Ability to ten key 8 hours a day Use hands/fingers to handle or feel to operate computer, opening machine, and/or payments Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl not required Talk/hear not required See must have the ability to see payments, payment slips, computer screen and other documents Climb not required Taste/smell not required Climate controlled indoor only Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
