English Teaching Role - Newham PRU (ASAP start)

We are working with a PRU in Newham seeking a resilient and skilled English Teacher for the remainder of the academic year. About the Role Running from February half-term to July 2026 , this full-time role involves leading GCSE English classes. You will need to be an expert in building relationships, as the students you will work with can be challenging and often have a complicated relationship with school. About the School Located in the vibrant borough of Newham , this PRU focuses on resilience and empathy. It’s a place where teachers are supported by an experienced leadership team and where "Excellent Behaviour" is achieved through consistent, kind, and firm boundaries. Responsibilities Establish firm, fair, and kind classroom boundaries. Teach English Language GCSE to small groups of 11–16-year-olds. Collaborate with support staff to manage and de-escalate challenging situations. Requirements QTS is an absolute requirement. A deep understanding of GCSE English and the ability to simplify complex concepts. Right to work in the UK. No visa sponsorship provided. Salary M1 – UPS3 (£40,317 – £62,496) Pro-rata.
