Audit and Assurance Manager

Job Description Our client is a well established professional services firm and part of an international network. With a strong local presence and a growing cross border footprint, they are expanding their Audit and Assurance leadership team and are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the firm. The Audit Manager will oversee a portfolio of clients while taking direct responsibility for leading, reviewing and executing complex audit engagements. This position plays a key technical and supervisory role within the team, ensuring high quality delivery and maintaining strong client relationships. Location : Hybrid - Msida Responsibilities: As a Audit and Assurance Manager , your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion Personally execute and review complex audit assignments, including preparation and review of financial statements Develop and review audit strategies, risk assessments and audit plans Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAPSME and applicable regulatory requirements Conduct detailed technical reviews of working papers prior to final sign off Manage a client portfolio and act as the main point of contact Oversee engagement budgets, timelines and team allocation Identify and resolve audit risks and technical accounting matters Mentor, guide and support junior team members Collaborate with other service lines to ensure coordinated delivery Requirements: Fully qualified Accountant, ACCA or equivalent In possession of, or in the process of obtaining, a CPA warrant and Practising Certificate in Auditing in Malta Minimum of 4 years audit experience Strong knowledge of ISAs, IFRS and GAPSME What’s in it for you?
