Clinical Nursing Manager – Med-Surg/Telemetry

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This position oversees clinical, operational, and financial performance while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. The Nursing Director will also support the development of nursing leaders and drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes. What You'll Do Provide leadership and direction for the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. Oversee staffing, quality, safety, service, and patient experience. Mentor nursing leaders using Evidence-Based Leadership practices. Collaborate with physicians, staff, and senior leadership to improve patient care. Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage departmental budgets. Ensure staff are competent in nursing processes and equipment use. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize patient safety. Develop and coordinate orientation programs, continuing education, and in-services. Support departmental performance improvement activities, patient satisfaction, and outcomes. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas Bachelors in Nursing required; Masters preferred 5+ years of progressive acute care leadership experience Strong background in Med-Surg/Telemetry preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and implement quality initiatives
