Payroll Specialist (HR & Union Payroll) – Paylocity Ponca City, OK | Onsite $20–$23/hour (DOE) | Direct Hire Were hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll for a single manufacturing location. This role is ideal for a detail-driven payroll professional with Paylocity experience , union payroll exposure , and a strong grasp of payroll compliance. Youll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting HR and leadership with payroll processes. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle payroll for a single location, including timekeeping review, approvals, exceptions, and manual checks Process weekly payroll in Paylocity , ensuring data accuracy and compliance Administer payroll deductions, including garnishments, benefits, PTO, vacation, 401(k), and labor allocations Handle union payroll , including union dues and contract-based wage adjustments Coordinate payroll hours for contracted staff and staffing agencies Manage unemployment claims and appeals , including documentation and filings Partner with HR, managers, and employees on payroll policies and procedures Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on payroll experience with full ownership of payroll processing Strong experience using Paylocity Union payroll experience and knowledge of labor contracts Experience handling unemployment claims, audits, and appeals Proficient in MS Office with excellent attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas (PPE required) Ability to sit/stand as needed and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
