Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal professional to join our firm and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience. The Associate Attorney is responsible for handling bankruptcy matters for the firm. They will utilize legal knowledge and experience to facilitate the bankruptcy process on behalf of our clients. Location(s): Alexandria, VA, US Baltimore, MD, US Salary : To be discussed with a Fox Point Representative (Client request) Duties & Responsibilities: Preparation, review, and approval of bankruptcy related pleadings. Handle all aspects of bankruptcy matters including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements and Adversary Proceedings. Participation in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, in-person hearings. Regular client meetings/updates. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements Juris Doctorate. Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars. 0-3 years bankruptcy experience. Qualified applicants must reside in Baltimore, Maryland or Alexandria,Virginia. Ability to manage and prioritize large caseload. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicates with all clients (via client systems, e-mail, and phone). Provides exceptional client service. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance. Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
