Our Modern Foreign Languages department is passionate about fostering a love of languages and providing students with the skills and confidence to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. About the Role: Teach German across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including authentic materials, technology, and collaborative activities, to bring the German language and culture to life. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our German curriculum remains relevant and engaging. Foster a love of German language and culture in students, encouraging them to explore the German-speaking world and develop their intercultural understanding. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in MFL education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in German language and culture. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Modern Foreign Languages and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for MFL. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
