Junior Finance Executive

A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm combining local and international expertise to provide financial guidance and growth-focused advisory services is seeking a Junior Finance Executive to join their growing team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of the internal finance department. This opportunity is ideal for someone at the early stage of their finance career who has completed their A Level in Accounts or started ACCA studies. This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €30K , depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Handle daily bookkeeping and ensure timely and accurate financial entries Perform bank and other reconciliations to maintain accurate records Manage accounts receivable by following up with clients and maintaining professional communication Record supplier invoices and perform supplier statement reconciliations Assist with VAT-related calculations, data gathering, and compliance tasks Monitor the finance inbox and address internal employee queries promptly Support month-end closing activities up to the Trial Balance stag Assist in various ad-hoc finance tasks and internal projects as needed Education, Skills & Experience A Level in Accounts or currently pursuing ACCA studies Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in Malta Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic VAT principles Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience using accounting software will be considered an asset Fluency in English, both written and spoken About the Role Salary of up to €30K, depending on experience Hybrid role with flexible working hours; core office hours from 9:00 – 15:00 Office location – Birkirkara Team building and company events Clear career growth opportunities Sponsorship for yearly professional training, seminars, webinars, and conferences *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
