History ECT required January 2026 Good mixed school based in Cambridge History ECT to join a thoughtful, research-driven and engaging Humanities department Our Client is seeking a History ECT to teach KS3–KS4 within a well-established and academically focused mixed school in Cambridge. The Humanities team provides detailed schemes of work, collaborative planning sessions and a supportive mentoring structure that ensures ECTs feel confident and successful in the classroom. School Information This 11–18 school educates roughly 1,300 students and is known for its consistently strong GCSE and A-level outcomes across Humanities subjects. The History department is well equipped with digital learning tools, curated resource banks and thematic schemes that promote critical thinking, enquiry skills and contextual understanding. Teachers describe the culture as intellectually vibrant, supportive and well-coordinated. ECTs are given additional PPA, structured CPD sessions and access to peer observations across the department.
