About the offer 📝 Permanent contract 🏠 Location : Capellen, Luxembourg 📲 Top 3 Key competencies : Fluency in English Strong experiene working on Linux systems Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role Missions of the role Our customer is currently looking for a motivated and driven System Engineer (m/f) under a permanent contract. Hybrid / Multi-cloud infrastructure handling : be able to manage systems whether they are bare-metal, VM or container based, managed or self-hosted. Infrastructure As Code (IaC): t his requires development, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure through code using a GitOps approach for better version control, consistency and traceability. It includes the designof scripts for automatic setup, configurations, and deployments through CI/CD pipelines. DevOps Tools, Trends, and Best Practices: this task involves staying updated with the latest DevOps technologies and trends, applying best practices for tools development, integration, and delivery, and exploring new tools for improved efficiency and productivity. Collaborate: t his requires working closely with various internal teams, including software developers, IT security and Customer Support teams to ensure the resilience, performance and suitability of the IT operated platforms. Automate: i t involves using technology to automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of human errors in tasks such as software server configurations, and system updates. Optimize: t his includes working with network, application, and system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and applying changes where necessary to optimize system performance. Documentation and Audits: t his involves maintaining documents related to the infrastructure and configurations, as well as participating in audits to ensure consistent and reliable infrastructure. Record keeping of completed tasks, issues resolved, and unique system configurations are also included. Monitor, Alert, Analyze, and Report: t his primarily involves continuously tracking and monitoring system and network performance. It includes analyzing these metrics, identifying potential issues, and generating reports detailing performance, uptime, and any issues faced. On-call Rotations: this involves being part of a rotation system to provide 24/7 support for critical systems, ensuring the immediate resolution of any system failures or disruptions irrespective of the time it occurs. Incident Response and Troubleshooting: this involves responding promptly to IT incidents, identifying their root causes and implementing effective solutions, and troubleshooting any hardware, software, or network anomalies to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head of IT Operations or his Deputy. These may include participating in special projects, assisting in system upgrades, and contributing to initiatives. Required skills Qualifications / diploma(s) : Bachelor's degree in IT Systems or equivalent experience. Technical Competencies : - In-depth knowledge on Linux systems and Linux-based virtualization / containerization technologies. - Real-life experience of hybrid / multi-cloud infrastructures management. - Expertise in K8S-derived orchestration solutions - Fluent with IaC and CI/CD tooling. - Strong knowledge of SIEM systems deployment and exploitation. - Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols, platform hardening, high availability platforms. - Proficient documentation abilities. - Familiarity with IAM, WAF, mesh VPN are an asset. Languages : French and English fluent. Any other language is an asset.
