Inspire Pupils at the Start of Key Stage 2 We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Year 3 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Walsall, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to teach pupils as they transition into Lower Key Stage 2, helping them consolidate core skills, develop independence, and foster a love of learning. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across all subjects. You will join a collaborative Key Stage 2 team where shared planning, reflection, and professional development are encouraged. The Role As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons that challenge pupils while supporting a range of abilities. You will use assessment to monitor pupil progress, identify gaps in learning, and inform future planning. Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development is a key aspect of the role, helping them become confident, resilient, and independent learners. You will work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and phase leaders to maintain continuity and high-quality teaching across Key Stage 2. Communication with parents and carers is essential to keep them informed about their child’s learning and progress. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Monitor and track pupil progress using assessment to inform planning Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school-wide initiatives The Ideal Candidate The successful applicant will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Be confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Demonstrate commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding Have a positive, professional approach to teamwork Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will be supported with mentoring.
