Production Superintendent – Food Manufacturing (2nd Shift) Location: Ponca City, OK Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM–1:00 AM (Mon–Fri + occasional weekends) Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + up to 14% annual bonus Reports To: Operations Manager | Direct Reports: 4 Production Supervisors Job Overview Were seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead second-shift operations in a food manufacturing / USDA-regulated facility . This role oversees production, safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement and meeting aggressive production targets (93%+ efficiency). Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily production and shipment schedules to meet customer demand Manage manpower, equipment, and production capacity to maximize efficiency and control costs Ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, and workplace safety standards Maintain a safe, hazard-free production environment through training, audits, and inspections Review production reports, monitor inventory, and communicate performance across shifts Develop, train, and mentor Production Supervisors; support new equipment and process changes Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives Collaborate with Maintenance to improve uptime and equipment utilization Required Qualifications 4+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing or production operations Proven experience managing supervisors and large production teams Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety, and manufacturing safety standards Excellent decision-making, organization, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Meat Science, Business, or related field Experience with budgeting, capital projects, and cost optimization Familiarity with McDonald's or major food service production standards Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing Work Environment Production floor environment (hot/cold temperatures, loud noise, strong odors) Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) PPE required in designated areas Why Join Us Strong benefits package Annual bonus potential Career growth and leadership development Stable, well-established food manufacturing operation Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates (case-by-case).
