Geography Teacher (ECT) – Towcester, Northamptonshire – January 2026

A forward-thinking and well-led secondary school in Northamptonshire is seeking an enthusiastic Geography ECT to join its supportive Humanities faculty from January 2026. Geography is a popular subject within the school, with strong student engagement and a clear curriculum structure. The department has experience supporting early career teachers and offers a calm, collaborative environment in which new teachers can thrive. The Role You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, following a carefully sequenced curriculum that develops geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and data interpretation. Lessons link physical and human geography with contemporary global issues, helping students understand the relevance of the subject. You will: Teach well-planned lessons supported by shared resources Develop confidence in classroom routines and assessment Observe experienced colleagues and receive regular feedback Contribute to enrichment such as local fieldwork and geography clubs The School The school is rated Good and is known for its strong pastoral care and consistent behaviour systems.
