Logistics Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities: Take the lead role in planning, costing, and allocating routes by ensuring vehicles’ sufficient flexibility is in place. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs. Responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organization. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. Tracking of trucks on the road. Trucking of the fleet and ensure the trucks have covered 500 kms a day. Able to make weekly loading plans for the trucks and the cargo. Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports. Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement. Preparing of road consignment notes and record keeping. Handling drivers and their issues on the road. Client coordination. Education & Qualifications: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or equivalent. A prior minimum of 5 years of experience working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures. Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including all transit rules and regulations, security requirements, and certification in dangerous goods handling. Should have full knowledge of project cargo, loading plans, and applying of permits. Should be flexible in the logistics industry (including port visiting, site visiting, and client meetings). Must be fluent in English.
