Key Responsibilities As a Midday Meal Supervisor in Brentwood, your responsibilities will include: Supervising Pupils Monitor pupils in the dining hall, playground, and corridors Ensure children behave safely and appropriately Support pupils who need extra guidance during lunchtimes Supporting Mealtimes Help younger or vulnerable pupils during lunch Encourage positive mealtime routines and table manners Promote independence while providing necessary assistance Promoting Positive Behaviour Model politeness, respect, and kindness Reinforce school rules consistently Calmly manage minor disputes and conflicts between pupils Managing Playtime Supervise outdoor and indoor play sessions Encourage inclusive and cooperative games Ensure playground equipment is used safely Providing Emotional Support Support pupils who feel anxious, shy, or upset Act as a friendly, approachable, and trusted adult Health, Safety, and First Aid Be aware of dietary requirements, allergies, and medical needs Administer basic first aid if required (training provided) Report accidents, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly Team Collaboration Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other lunchtime staff Follow school routines to ensure smooth transitions between lunch, play, and lessons Maintaining Structure and Routine Support consistent lunchtime routines Create a calm and structured environment where all pupils feel safe and supported Who Should Apply No formal qualifications are necessary.
