Senior Project Manager - Essential Medicines Supply Chain Strengthening: Kenya

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, international development, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex, multi-country development projects, preferably in the health sector. Experience within project: Proven track record of successfully managing grant-funded projects, including budgeting, financial management, and donor reporting. Strong understanding of health supply chain management principles and best practices. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop work plans, manage timelines, and track progress against goals. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project staff and partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage competing priorities. Language: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages spoken in Nigeria and Kenya is desirable. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities to improve the health supply chain in Nigeria and Kenya. Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders and project partners. Coordinate with relevant industry partners, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficient utilization of grant funds. Provide leadership and guidance to project staff, consultants, and partners to ensure high-quality project delivery Monitor project progress and performance against established targets, identify risks and challenges, and take proactive measures to address them. Prepare regular progress reports, financial reports, and other project documentation for donors, stakeholders, and senior management. Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events related to the project, both domestically and internationally. Foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment that promotes learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
