Business Analyst (Hybrid, Manhattan NY)

Location: New York, NY (Flatiron – Manhattan) Work Model: Hybrid (2 days on-site / 3 days remote) Contract Type: W2, Full-Time, Permanent Position with Benefits Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 USD annually Role Overview We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the design and delivery of client-facing digital solutions in a fast-paced environment. This is not a purely functional BA role — the ideal candidate operates at the intersection of business and technical analysis, with strong exposure to data, systems, and delivery teams. Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements Work closely with stakeholders, product, and engineering teams Support end-to-end delivery across client engagements Initially focused on one client, with potential to expand Key Responsibilities Business Requirements & Discovery Lead discovery workshops with client stakeholders Gather, analyze, and structure business and system requirements Translate requirements into user stories, workflows, and documentation Solution Design & Validation Collaborate with technical teams on solution feasibility Support validation of prototypes, features, and deliverables Ensure consistency from design through deployment Stakeholder Communication Act as a bridge between business, product, and engineering teams Drive requirement clarity, alignment, and scope management Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders Process Mapping & Optimization Analyze existing processes and identify inefficiencies Recommend improvements to enhance delivery and user experience Data & Systems Analysis Work with data models, workflows, and system interactions Create or interpret diagrams (e.g., process flows, ERDs) Write or interpret SQL queries for data analysis (as needed) Assess impact of changes across systems and data flows Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve processes and delivery Stay current with tools, platforms, and industry practices Experience Typically 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (flexible up to ~10 depending on profile) Experience in digital, product, or IT delivery environments Strong exposure to client-facing work Salesforce or similar platform experience is a plus (not required) Core Skills Ability to handle both functional and technical requirements Strong understanding of data structures and system interactions Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Comfortable leading workshops and driving discussions Highly organized with strong follow-up and execution discipline Able to work in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments Technical Knowledge Understanding of data structures, integrations, and system flows Ability to write or interpret SQL queries Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and system dependencies Tools Jira, Confluence Miro, Lucid, Visio (or similar mapping tools) Profile Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders Client-facing, polished, and confident Able to balance structure with flexibility in dynamic environments
