Year 2 Teacher | Independent School in Northampton

An Independent School in Northampton seeks a committed and adaptable Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary department from January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will be part of a close-knit teaching team, will prepare planning before January 2026 and will be ready to teach from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher. The Independent School setting offers smaller classes and bespoke support for each child, enabling the Year 2 Teacher to differentiate effectively and deliver meaningful progress. Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities • Deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 2 Teacher. • Design sequenced writing units and practical mathematics activities as the Year 2 Teacher. • Run targeted interventions and maintain clear assessment records as the Year 2 Teacher. • Liaise with parents, lead school events and contribute to curriculum development as the Year 2 Teacher. Year 2 Teacher Requirements • QTS with strong KS1 experience required for the Year 2 Teacher. • Confident phonics delivery and effective classroom management for the Year 2 Teacher. • Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to start from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher.
