Forklift Driver

Job Summary : This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to support plant operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, staging, material movement, and routine equipment maintenance while ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials in designated areas. Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic forklift maintenance to ensure operational safety. Support inventory management by accurately handling goods in and out of storage locations. Providing support to the assembly team. Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to meet operational goals. Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or operational issues to supervisors promptly. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Requirements: Experience: 1–3 years in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environment; automotive or industrial sector experience preferred. Certification: Valid forklift operator license/certification. Skills: Skilled in operating forklifts and warehouse handling Knowledge of safe loading/unloading and stacking procedures Basic understanding of warehouse organization and material flow. Time management and ability to work under pressure. Communication in both English and Swahili. Ability to operate different types of forklifts. Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment checks and maintenance.
