EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Kensington & Chelsea (West London)

Location: Kensington & Chelsea, West London Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only Start Date: Next Term Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A high-achieving yet inclusive primary school in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea is seeking a compassionate and skilled EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs within its Early Years provision. Staff work collaboratively, supported by a proactive SENCo and an experienced leadership team. Early intervention and high-quality SEN support are key priorities across the school. The Role You will support children in Nursery or Reception with a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social and emotional needs. Your work will focus on helping children to engage with learning, develop confidence, and build essential early skills. Support will be delivered through: 1:1 SEN support Small-group interventions In-class support during play and learning activities Key Responsibilities Implement SEN strategies and interventions Support access to the EYFS curriculum Promote communication, interaction, and independence Use visual supports and structured routines Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour Assist with personal care where required Observe and record progress Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures Person Specification We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS Is patient, nurturing, and emotionally aware Has strong communication skills Works well as part of a team Is committed to inclusion and professional development What the School Can Offer A welcoming and inclusive staff team High-quality training and CPD Supportive leadership and SEN guidance Excellent EYFS resources Valuable experience within a well-regarded school This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality SEN provision at the start of children’s
