About the Client Our client is a growing fintech company providing innovative payment solutions for international merchants. Role Overview As a Transaction Monitoring Team Lead, you will oversee a team of analysts responsible for investigating transactional activity, reviewing alerts, and escalating suspicious cases in accordance with AML and CTF regulations. You will ensure that monitoring processes are efficient, well-documented, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards. This role combines hands-on case oversight with team management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily transaction monitoring and investigations, ensuring timely review and escalation of suspicious activity. Oversee analysis of merchant profiles, ensuring transactions align with declared business models. Manage Transaction Monitoring Requests (TMRs) and ensure proper documentation and resolution. Lead the preparation and escalation of Internal Suspicious Activity Reports (ISARs). Serve as the main escalation point for complex or sensitive cases. Prepare regular reports on team performance, monitoring results, and compliance KPIs. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Product teams to improve processes and support audits. Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to audit and regulatory requirements. Requirements Proven experience in transaction monitoring or AML roles within the financial or payments industry. Previous leadership experience in managing compliance or risk teams. Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks, regulations, and reporting procedures. Excellent English communication and reporting skills. Proactive, structured, and capable of making informed decisions under pressure.
