Development Manager (Developer)

The Development Manager (Developer) is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of both web and mobile applications. This role combines leadership and hands-on programming responsibilities, providing technical guidance, writing code for critical modules, and ensuring the quality, security, and scalability of applications. The Development Lead coordinates with business analysts, QA, and IT teams, and reports directly to the Head of IT. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications (web, mobile, internal systems) Perform integrations with third-party and internal systems Automate processes using external applications or APIs Collaborate with Systems/Application Teams to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions Coordinate with Infrastructure/Technical teams to meet security, architecture, and deployment standards Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to development policies Participate in R&D, explore new technologies, and propose innovative solutions Provide technical leadership while contributing directly to programming tasks Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior developer role Strong background in web and mobile application development Technical Skills Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Angular, Node.js) Experience with mobile frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin) Knowledge of API development and integration (REST, GraphQL) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong understanding of security compliance, architecture standards, and DevOps practices Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Soft Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and mentoring abilities Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams Ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic leadership responsibilities Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring new technologies Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven
