Are you an experienced Year 6 Teacher who can lead a class through upper-KS2 with ambition and care? A successful primary school in Wandsworth is recruiting a confident Year 6 Teacher to join the upper-KS2 team from January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will design sequenced lessons that consolidate curriculum knowledge, lead focused revision and booster programmes, and support smooth transition into secondary school. This Year 6 Teacher role in Wandsworth combines classroom leadership with assessment management and strong parental liaison. Induction and handover will be provided prior to January 2026 so the Year 6 Teacher can begin the spring term ready to lead learning. Role responsibilities Teach rigorous Year 6 lessons that balance curriculum coverage, reasoning and exam technique. Lead and evaluate targeted booster sessions to close gaps and raise attainment across the cohort. Coordinate transition arrangements with secondary partners and prepare comprehensive handover materials. Use assessment data to set clear next steps, monitor progress and report outcomes to leaders and parents. Contribute to phase moderation, curriculum planning and enrichment activities across Wandsworth. Person specification Qualified teacher with strong upper-KS2 experience and a record of positive Year 6 outcomes. Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to plan and run targeted programmes. Calm, resilient and able to support pupils’ wellbeing during a high-stakes year in Wandsworth. Available to commence January 2026, and to take part in induction and pre-term planning before January 2026.
