Caretaker – Friendly Primary School in Dorchester

About the Role • Opening, securing and maintaining the school site • Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and decorating • Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting and alarm systems • Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and safety • Undertaking health & safety checks and reporting hazards • Supporting school events and liaising with contractors • Maintaining external areas including playgrounds and pathways Experience and Qualifications • Previous caretaking or premises experience desirable • Strong practical maintenance skills • Good communication and organisation • Understanding of health & safety • Willingness to work flexibly Salary Paid according to local support staff pay scales.
