We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and committed Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon, starting as soon as possible. The Role As the Year 4 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons across the national curriculum. You will support pupils as they transition through Lower Key Stage 2, building on prior knowledge while encouraging curiosity, resilience, and independence. You will create a structured, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and challenged. Working closely with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues, you will contribute to a consistent and positive learning experience across the phase. Strong communication with parents and carers will also be an important part of the role. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 4 curriculum Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning attitudes Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and school initiatives The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 Be confident delivering the national curriculum Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisation Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding Work effectively as part of a supportive team Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply and will receive mentoring and structured support.
