About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse artistic practices and styles. Plan and deliver lessons that foster creativity, artistic skills, and critical thinking, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Assess student progress through artwork, presentations, and written assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their development and ensure smooth transition mid-year. Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum, integrating current artistic trends and diverse artistic practices, and participate in departmental planning. Organize and lead art exhibitions, workshops, and gallery visits, promoting artistic engagement and expression, adapting to mid-year integration. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Art and Design subject knowledge, including various artistic mediums and techniques. Demonstrated experience teaching Art across Key Stages 3-5, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and artistic skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, including those joining mid-year.
