Application Consultant (REMOTE)

Job Title: Application Consultant Role Purpose The Application Consultant supports the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise banking applications. This role acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring application solutions align with business objectives, regulatory standards, and user needs. Key Responsibilities Analyze and document business and functional requirements, translating them into scalable and efficient application solutions Configure, customize, and enhance enterprise banking applications to support operational efficiency and digital transformation initiatives Act as a liaison between business users, vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure clear communication and successful delivery Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, coordinating testing activities, and resolving defects and system issues Provide production support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and coordination of fixes to minimize business disruption Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize application performance, usability, and reliability Assist with application documentation, release planning, and change management activities Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years experience in application consulting, application support, or systems implementation roles Proven experience within banking or financial services, including exposure to core banking or digital banking platforms Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language Experience supporting UAT, production environments, and post-implementation support Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments Nice to Have Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, or security requirements in financial services environments Exposure to vendor-managed or third-party banking applications
