Lithium battery Senior Equipment Engineer M/F

Missions : For a leading European lithium battery producer, we are recruiting a Senior Equipment Engineer to support the ramp-up and continuous improvement of cell and pack production equipment. The role will focus on ensuring equipment readiness, performance optimisation and technical support across a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Main responsibilities : Lead technical management of production equipment: installation, commissioning, qualification and handover to operations. Drive equipment performance and OEE improvements through root-cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive plans. Develop and maintain equipment documentation: P&IDs, electrical & mechanical schematics, SOPs, maintenance plans and spare parts lists. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders for upgrades, spare parts, and technical interventions; manage supplier field activities when required. Contribute to project planning, technical risk assessments and change control for process or equipment modifications. Provide shift-support and troubleshooting for critical issues; ensure knowledge transfer and training for operations and maintenance teams to cover all shifts. Produce clear daily and weekly engineering reports: incident analysis, action tracking, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement proposals. Required skills : Sales Force: Proven experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM tools to support supplier management, technical interventions tracking and stakeholder communication. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce concise technical reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams. Esprit de synthèse: Strong analytical ability to summarise complex technical issues into clear, actionable recommendations and to prioritise solutions under time pressure. Anglais: Professional working proficiency in English (oral and written) to liaise with international suppliers and colleagues. Desired personal traits : Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment; able to adapt priorities and methods to support production needs and project timelines. Your profile : Minimum5 years' proven experience in battery cell or related manufacturing equipment engineering, ideally with pouch cell or large form-factor battery processes. Engineering degree or equivalent technical background with hands-on experience in equipment commissioning and maintenance. Experience working across shifts in a24/7 production environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable interacting with suppliers and managing technical contracts or field service activities. Contract & location : Full-time position, long term (1–2 years or permanent depending on profile).
