Audit Senior

A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm combining local and international expertise to provide financial guidance and growth-focused advisory services is seeking an Audit Senior to join their expanding team. In this role, the selected candidate will manage client portfolios, lead audits, and support the growth and development of junior staff. This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €40K . Role & Responsibilities Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring clear communication and timely reporting to Managers and above Build and nurture strong client relationships, adapting your approach to foster trust and credibility Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and enhancing overall team performance Apply and expand technical knowledge in auditing standards and practices, contributing to both your own and the team’s expertise Monitor local and national business and economic trends to assess potential impacts on clients Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; near completion of ACCA or ACA is acceptable 5+ years of external audit experience within a Big4 firm Minimum 1-year audit experience in Malta – non-negotiable Fluent in English, both written and spoken Strong knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and IASs – non-negotiable Demonstrated experience in audit planning, risk assessment, and control testing Experience with internal audits is a plus Willingness to obtain a Maltese Warrant (company-sponsored) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Proactive with excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines About the Role Competitive salary of up to €40K, depending on experience Hybrid role with flexible working hours; core office hours from 9:00 – 15:00 Office location – Birkirkara Team building and company events Mobile allowance Clear career growth opportunities Sponsorship for yearly professional training, seminars, webinars, and conferences Apply with your detailed CV, please. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
