A creative and high-performing 11–18 school in Reading is seeking a passionate Art & Design ECT to join their Visual Arts Department from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role is perfect for an early-career teacher looking to grow in a school that values creativity, individuality, and high standards. About the Role The appointed teacher will teach Art & Design across KS3–KS5 , guiding students in developing technical skill, creativity, and confidence in visual expression. You will assist with GCSE and A-Level portfolio work, help organise art exhibitions, and participate in collaborations with local galleries. The role includes a structured induction plan , with access to one-to-one mentoring, CPD sessions, and opportunities to observe outstanding teaching. You’ll work closely with colleagues who are passionate about developing both artistic skill and critical thinking.
