Senior Accountant - Yachting & Maritime

JobMatchingPartner is assisting a highly regarded Corporate Service Provider, based in Valletta, with their search for a Yachting and Maritime Accountant, supporting an international clientele . The ideal candidate for this role has previous experience from working with Client Accounting for entities operating leisure vessels. Starting salary up to €45K and excellent employment terms . General responsibilities will include: Financial and management accounting with a focus on yachting and maritime companies and structures Act first point of contact for own clientele Preparation and submission of VAT returns and related compliance reporting Corporate income tax computations and returns Regular reporting to management on client portfolios Manage a diverse portfolio of international entities Requirements of the ideal candidate: Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CPA) Experience of working with yacht leasing structures and cross-border transactions Motivated to further specialize in Maritime accounting Previous exposure to maritime tax regimes and incentives Experience of dealing with regulatory bodies and financial institutions Excellent communication skills in English Proficient in MS office and ERPs / Accounting Software Generally computer and internet literate Ability to produce intricate financial reports Experience of working with Client Accounting for 2+ years Analytical and attention to detail About this role Starting Salary up to €45K Office-based in Valletta Office-hours, Monday to Friday One day flexible remote working weekly Health insurance Mental wellbeing support Mobile phone allowance Corporate discounts On-the-job training Excellent career advancement prospects Continual professional development Please, apply with your detailed CV in English *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
