SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Camden Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Long-term Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Wayman Education are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to join a friendly, supportive, and inclusive Primary school in Camden . This is a long-term position working with a student who has additional learning needs and can display challenging behaviour. The school is looking for someone patient, understanding and committed to helping young people thrive. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in a student’s day-to-day school experience. What the role involves: Providing one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged and feel supported in lessons. Building positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and progress. Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and maintaining a calm, inclusive classroom. Demonstrates understanding of various needs from mild to complex Following detailed EHCPs and working closely with the SENCO Work across EYFS to KS2 Previous experience working with SEND pupils or provisions (in schools or a similar setting). A calm and patient approach with the ability to build trust and rapport. The right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
